MONDAY 18TH OCT. 10pm - 2am

Week Three: 1965 - 72
It's a special 4-hr edition of the show, commencing at 10pm this week!
The music reflected the turbulent era of protests, civil rights, liberation and psychedelia. The Brits kept dominating with the likes of The Kinks, The Rolling Stones and The Who. Hendrix changed the way the guitar was played. Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding shook up soul music. James Brown funked things up. The 70s saw the emergence of the Singer/Songwriter Era, with classic recordings from Carole King, James Taylor, Cat Stevens and Neil Diamond. George Harrison created 1 of the first charity discs and heavy metal's seminal acts were recording. Glam exploded onto the scene.
Hear the music of The Byrds, Sonny and Cher, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, The Moody Blues, Creedence Clearwater Revival, David Bowie, Slade, T Rex, America, Chicago and Donovan.
